Wrapped up warm ahead of her five hour flight, the actress kissed and cuddled her future husband as he parked outside the departures hall.

Bilson, 28, returned to LA after spending the New Year with the Star Wars actor, also 28, in his hometown of Uxbridge, Ontario – 40 miles north of Toronto.
While Bilson evidently misses her partner when she’s in LA, she’s won’t be missing the Canadian weather, with snowy Toronto experiencing temperatures of -8C.

As she walked into the departures lounge solo, Bilson was well-insulated against the freezing weather in a black quilted jacket, jeans and sheepskin boots.

Actor Hayden Christensen’s producer brother Tove Christensen is set to clean up the streets of Hollywood as part of a community service sentence. Christensen has been ordered to complete the 20-day Hollywood Beautification program after pleading “no contest” to a charge of misdemeanor battery following a violent altercation with his girlfriend.

He was arrested in September 2009 after dragging his lover 30 feet as she clung to the side of his car following a heated argument, reports TMZ.com. Witnesses allege the “Shattered Glass” producer was behind the wheel and hit the accelerator when the woman – who hasn’t been identified – reached into the vehicle to grab her purse.

Christensen was also handed three years probation and must undergo a year of domestic violence counseling.

Over the weekend, the cute couple delivered gifts to Rachel’s mom’s house, supposedly to celebrate the birthday of her little sister, Hattie.

A neon sign for a bar called Sonny’s glows in the night at an intersection in southwest Detroit. The cars in the street are parked haphazardly. The sidewalks are scattered with pieces of clothing, oddly enough. 

Suddenly, a man and a woman run tentatively away from the bar. “Keep up,” says Hayden Christensen, who’s best-known for playing Anakin Skywalker in two “Star Wars” prequels. He’s talking to Thandie Newton, star of “Crash” and “Mission Impossible II.”

The actors are working on a scene for “Vanishing on 7th Street,” an independent movie that has aspects of a psychological thriller and a horror film.

The story involves a blackout and the mysterious disappearance of a city’s population. Five remaining people must try to figure out what they’re up against.

Detroit will play itself in the film. For this scene, the crew has turned an existing building on Junction Street into the exterior of a tavern.

The movie, which has a budget of around $10 million, needed a setting that would evoke the right look and feel for the subject matter. After considering locations in Iowa, Washington, New York and Canada, the filmmakers chose metro Detroit for creative reasons and for Michigan’s generous tax breaks for filmmaking.

“The city is such a character in the way we’re shooting the movie,” says producer Celine Rattray. “The city looks a combination of beautiful and, at times, haunting. We hope that it portrays Detroit in a beautiful light.”

The “Vanishing” team has been impressed by the architecture and friendliness of local communities as it’s gone about its scary-making business.

And in practical terms, when you’re shooting an eerie scene like the street exterior on this particular night, it’s easier to shut down locations and create an empty landscape in Detroit than it would be in a more crowded urban area.

Executive producer Kelly McCormick, who grew up near East Lansing, has been struck by the fact that “there’s beauty and there’s brilliance juxtaposed to extreme destitution and emptiness.”

Bilson says, “When I’m older I really want a family – probably off somewhere really remote. I want to raise my kids where they don’t know what a camera following them is like. I have a seven-year-old sister so aware of paparazzi it’s unbelievable. It’s too weird for me.”

Bilson has another very good reason to leave Hollywood behind – her home was ransacked by thieves earlier this year (09). It’s believed the actress was a target of the so-called Burglar Bunch, who also raided the homes of Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge and Lindsay Lohan.

The same month Star Wars Episode III was released in 2005, Hayden struck an agreement with a producer named Philippe Martinez to appear in a movie called “Crash Bandits” while his brother, Tove, signed on as co-producer. They also agreed to a deal where Martinez would pay for the right to have first crack at the brothers’ future projects.

The Christensens claim they never had second thoughts because Martinez told them he had a $500,000,000 bankroll.  But now, in a lawsuit filed in L.A. County Superior Court, the brothers claim the movie never got made and insist Martinez never paid up. They now doubt that Martinez ever had the 9-figure bankroll to begin with.

Rachel dropped off Hayden, who is headed to somewhere with colder weather as he carried his winter coat through the security checkpoint. He’s rumored to be headed to Detroit, Michigan to start shooting his new horror thriller Vanishing on 7th Street.
